Sound healing and ceremonies

At Taorayiná, sound and ceremony are ways to slow down and return to the body. Every practice takes place in the forest and is held with care and respect for each person’s process.

  • Immersive sound healing concerts: Tibetan bowls, flutes and live drums to rest deeply and release tension.
  • Cacao ceremony: ceremonial cacao from the Sierra Nevada, handcrafted by local women, with music, movement and a word circle.
  • Temazcal: a traditional steam bath with volcanic stones and medicinal plants for physical, mental and spiritual cleansing.
  • Medicinal plant and psilocybin ceremony: a guided space for introspection, with music and integration.

You can experience these practices during your stay or as part of the Return to the Heart retreat. Write to us on WhatsApp to check availability.

How the practices fit together

You can live each practice on its own or combine them. Many guests start with a sound healing concert in the evening, add a cacao ceremony the next morning, and close their stay with a walk to the waterfalls. At the Return to the Heart retreat they are woven into a five-day journey.

What to know before you come

  • All practices take place in the forest and are held in groups, with a facilitator who explains each step beforehand.
  • You decide how much to take part: you are free to stay as an observer.
  • The medicinal plant and psilocybin ceremony is a space for introspection with music and integration. It is not a medical treatment.
